DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

The key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 23 points to stand at 4,279 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 140,852 with transaction at Tk 5,799 million. Of the issues traded, 192 advanced, 73 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

GENNEXT topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 308 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MPETROLEUM, RNSPIN, PADMAOIL, BENGALWTL, SPPCL, CMCKAMAL, BSCCL, BEXIMCO and     GP.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8,370 by gaining over 49 points.

Out of the issues traded, 130 gained, 73 declined and 22 remained unchanged.
