Jewellers hiked gold prices by Tk 2,333 per bhori on Thursday (July 20) which set a new record, with each bhori now priced at Tk 1, 00,777 in Bangladesh.
The new price will be effective from Friday (July 21), said a press release of Bangladesh Jewellers' Association (BAJUS) today.
Earlier on March 18, the gold price in the local market was jumped by Tk 7,698 to record Tk 98,794 per bhori.
The price of gold 22-carat gold has been increased by Tk 2,333 to Tk 1,00,777.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 82,464 a bhori while that of traditional gold at Tk 68,701 a bhori.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 1,715 a bhori while 21-carat Tk 1,633 and the price of 18-carat silver is Tk 1,400 a bhori and Tk 1,050 for traditional one.
