The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk 141 to Tk 1,140 for the month of August.

In July, the price was Tk 999. 

BERC chairman Nurul Amin announced the new price at a press conference organized at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission office on Wednesday (August 2).

According to a BERC notice, the new price will be effective from today.

Earlier in last month, BERC lowered the price of 12-kilogram cylinders of LPG by Tk75.

Earlier in March, 2023, the BERC adjusted the price of 12-kg LPG cylinders from Tk1,498 to Tk1,422.
