The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) on Wednesday (September 27) announced a reduction in gold prices by Tk1,284 per bhori.
According to a BAJUS press release, the price cut comes as a result of a decline in the local market value of pure gold.
The price of one bar (11.664 grammes) of gold has been reduced by Tk1,284.
Currently, the price of per bhori of gold stands at Tk99,960 in the country.
BAJUS also said that this price will be implemented from Thursday (September 28).
On July 20 this year, each bhori of gold price in Bangladesh cross the Tk 100,000-mark for the first time.
Jewellers hiked gold prices by Tk 2,333 per bhori on July 20 which set a new record, with each bhori priced at Tk 1, 00,777 in Bangladesh.
