The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has increased the price of a 12kg liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) cylinder by Tk 79 to TK 1,363for the month of September.

In August, the price was Tk 1,284. 

BERC chairman Nurul Amin announced the new price at a press conference organized at the Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission office on Monday (Oct 2).

He said, the new price will be effective from 6:00pm today.

Nurul Amin LPG price has increased further to Tk 113.61 per kg for the month of October. 

Prices of other sizes of LPG cylinders – from 5.5kg to 45kg – will go up rationally, he said.

Prices of other LPG cylinders -- from 5.5kg to 45kg -- will go up accordingly, said BERC authority.

Earlier in July, BERC lowered the price of 12-kilogram cylinders of LPG by Tk 75.24.
