The Bangladesh Jeweller’s Association (BAJUS) on Sunday (November 5) raised the price of gold by Tk 1,750 to Tk 1,04,626 per bhori.
The standing committee on pricing and price monitoring of BAJUS made the decision at a meeting.
The price of 22-carat gold is now Tk 8,970 per gram, while it is Tk 8,565 for 21-carat, said a press release signed by committee vice chairman Enamul Haque Bhuiyan Liton.
The price of 18-carat gold has been fixed at Tk 7,340 a gram, while that of traditional gold is at Tk 6,115 a gram. The new tariffs will come into effect on Monday, the release said.
The price of 22-carat silver is Tk 147 per gram, Tk 140 for 21-carat silver, Tk 120 for 18-carat silver, and Tk 90 for traditional silver.
