DHAKA: Both two bourses of the country witnessed negative trend in share-price indices on Monday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, shed over 24 points to stand at 5309 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 186334 with transaction at Tk 10077 million. Of the issues traded, 128 advanced, 152 declined and 25 remained unchanged.

MJLBD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 389 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, GP, GOLDENSON, TITASGAS, BXPHARMA, DELTALIFE, FAMILYTEX, PLFSL and LAFSURCEML.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9971by dropping over 23 points.

Out of the issues traded, 107 gained, 121 declined and 12 remained unchanged.
