DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday.

The broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 22 points to stand at 5315 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 174534 with transaction at Tk 9,752 million. Of the issues traded, 156 advanced, 125 declined and 22 remained unchanged.

MJLBD topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 550 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SQURPHARMA, TITASGAS, GP, DELTALIFE, BEXIMCO, HEIDELBCEM, KPCL, BXPHARMA and IDLC.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9959 by gaining over 23 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 106 gained, 117 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
