DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday.

DSEX, the prime index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 12 points to stand at 4956 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 101617 with transaction at Tk 4170 million. Of the issues traded, 130 advanced, 148 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

AGNISYSL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 188 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were DESCO, SAIFPOWER, WMSHIPYARD, RSRMSTEEL, IDLC, LAFSURCEML, ALLTEX, AAMRATECH and GP.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9216 by gaining over 22 points.

Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 98 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
