DHAKA: Bangladesh and Nepal on Thursday agreed to sign Double Taxation Avoidance Agreement (DTAA).
Nepalese Inland Revenue Department (IRD) issued a statement on the matter that said the fourth round of meeting for DTAA held in Kathmandu took the decision, reports myrepublica.com.
National Board of Revenue member (tax policy) Parvez Iqbal and Nepal’s IRD director general Chudamani Sharma penned the agreement for signing DTAA.
Finance Ministers of both the countries will ink the DTAA later on.
Addressing at the program, Sharma said the agreement will be a cornerstone in economic relations between the two countries. Nepal had proposed Bangladesh to sign DTAA in 1998.
