DHAKA: Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) Thursday approved the charge-sheet against 14 people, including Managing Director (MD) Khaza Soleman Ali Chowdhury and Chairman Noarin Habib, for their involvement in misappropriation of Tk 58 crore.
The anti-graft body, in its regular meeting on Thursday, gave its nod to the chare-sheet in the sixth out of 12 cases filed for swindling out Tk 1174 crore from several banks.
ACC deputy director (public relations) Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya confirmed the matter to banglanews.
Deputy Director of ACC Gulshan Anwar Pradhan investigated the sixth cases.
On November 3, 2013, the ACC filed 12 cases against some 53 top officials of five banks and the controversial terry towel maker Bismillah Group for embezzling Tk 1,174.46 crore.
