DHAKA: The Executive Committee of National Economic Council (ECNEC) on Tuesday approved six projects, including three new ones, worth Tk 5,397 crore.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina chaired the meeting at the NEC Conference Room at the Planning Commission in city’s Sher-e-Bangla Nagar area.

Of the amount, government will finance Tk 4,914.65 crore while Tk 453.11 crore will come as project assistance and respective organizations will finance Tk 29.31 crore.

Planning Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal briefed the journalists after the meeting.
