DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) --- is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Thursday.

DSEX, the broad index of DSE, shed over 14.98 points to stand at 4,666 at 12:17pm.

Trade deals stood at 50444 with volume of transactions at Tk 1,152.51 million.

Of the issues traded, 115 advanced, 112 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

SHASHADNIM topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 225.23 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8701.11 by dropping over 21.88 points at about 12:32pm.

Out of the issues traded, 51 gained, 85 declined and 18 remained unchanged.
