DHAKA: Country's stock market marked significant gain in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

 DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 48.77 points only to stand at 4558.08 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 1,08,272 with volume of transactions at Tk 3930.05 million.

Of the issues traded, 189 advanced, 93 declined and 27 remained unchanged.

ACI topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 312 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were GP, MJLBD, SHASHADNIM, KPCL, LAFSURCEML, ACIFORMULA, SPCL, JAMUNAOIL     and SQURPHARMA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8468.69 by gaining over 130.34 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 151 gained, 55 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
