DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) slipped in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, went down by 28.31 points or 0.62 per cent to 4529.76 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:20am.

Trade deals stood at 18100 with volume of transactions at Tk 689.56 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 48 advanced, 158 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

ACI was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 73.85 million changing hands till then followed by GP, SHASHADNIM, MJLBD and IFADAUTOS.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 55.89 points to 8412.80, also at 11:20am.

Of the issues traded till then, 22 gained, 99 declined and 17 remained unchanged.
