DHAKA: Cabinet Monday gave final approval to a bill-- Surcharge and Levy (Imposition and Collection)-2015-- to hike surcharge by one percent on mobile phone usage.

The approval came from a cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair at secretariat, said secretary Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan.

The money earned from the hiked surcharge will be spent for education and health sector development of the country, he added.
