DHAKA: Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith hinted that the size of budget for 2015-16 fiscal might be around Tk 3,00,000 crore.

The minister came up with hint at the beginning of pre-budget meeting ahead of the national budget at National Economic Council (NEC) conference room at planning ministry on Sunday noon.

He said, “We have some time in this fiscal year in our hands. Considering the time, the GDP growth would be 7 percent in December.”
   
He opined that the country’s economic situation would be better. But Bangladesh has been facing trouble for last three months.

Bangladesh Bank Governor Dr Atiur Rahman, International Relations Department senior secretary Mezbah Uddin Ahmed, Planning Secretary Shafiqul Azam IMD secretary Shaheedullah Khan, were, among others, attended the pre-budget discussion.
