DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses-- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE)--on Wednesday.

DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 68.87 points to stand at 4360.49 at the close on the fourth trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 119857 with transaction at Tk 4697.42 million. Of the issues traded, 251 advanced, 37 declined and 15 remained unchanged.
   
UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 555.94 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were MJLBD, WMSHIPYARD, ACI, IFADAUTOS, GP, SAIFPOWER, SQURPHARMA, SHASHADNIM and LAFSURCEML.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8150.25 by gaining over 121.38 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 178 gained, 44 declined and 10 remained unchanged.
