DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway showing gain in share-price indices recovering the first hour’s fall on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of the Dhaka Stock Exchange, reached up to 4129.46 points by 1:26pm, starting from 4116.48 points in the morning.

Trade deals stood at 58316 with transaction at Tk 2001.66 million.



Of the issues traded, 119 advanced, 145 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 219.31 million having changed hands during the time.

Chittagong stocks also saw upward trend with its Selective Category Index, CSCX, climbing up to 7712.70 by gaining over 19.15 points at 1:21pm.

Out of the issues traded, 65 gained, 97 declined and 25 remained unchanged.
