DHAKA: A three-day international exposition of medical and clinical laboratory equipment will begin on May 7 in city.

The exhibition organizing body CEMS Global and Exhibition Management Services Limited made the announcement at a press conference at National Press Club on Monday.

State minister for health and family welfare Zahid Maleque will inaugurate the show at Bangabandhu International Conference Center in city on the day.

The organizers said that medical equipment, surgical tools, health service and several hospital materials will be displayed at the exposition.

Besides, equipment of clinical laboratory and raw materials of several kinds will also be on display, they added.

According to them, at least 70 reputable local and foreign organizations will take part at the event showcasing their products.

The exhibition will remain open from 10:30am to 7:30pm to all till May 9.

Bangladesh University of Health Science (BUHS) vice-chancellor Professor Liaqat Ali, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University pathology department chairman Professor Mohammad Kamal, Apollo Hospitals clinical biochemistry department consultant Dr Mohammad Ibrahim and BUHS assistant professor Nazrul Haidar, among others, were present at the press conference.
