DHAKA: Grameen Phone, the largest mobile phone operator of the country, has introduced low tariff international roaming SMS (Short Message Service) for the subscribers.

The service, which can be enjoyed only while in roaming, is for both postpaid and prepaid customers.

Customer will enjoy flat SMS tariff of Tk 2.00 for all countries and for all local mobile operators while incoming SMS is absolutely free.

To enable SMS roaming service, customer needs to send SMS typing “SR ON” and send to 7000 before leaving Bangladesh.

Customers need to dial *111*5*9# to get the service after the roaming service is on in abroad.

Customer needs to send SMS typing “SR OFF” and send to 7000 after arriving Bangladesh from abroad to get regular local services.
