DHAKA: Share price index at the country’s both bourses --- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- witnessed positive trend in early hours of trading on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of the DSE, gained by 36.32 points or 0.84 per cent to 4313.37 after the first one-hour of trade at 11:30am.

Trade deals stood at 48508 with volume of transactions at Tk 1842.18 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 177 advanced, 74 declined and 32 remained unchanged.
   
UPGDCL was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 168.27 million changing hands till then followed by BEXIMCO, SPCL, SAPORTL, IFADAUTOS and MJLBD.

The CSE Selective Category Index, CSCX gained 78.76 points to stand at 8089.65, also at 11:31 am.

Of the issues traded till then, 116 gained, 54 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
