DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Monday for second consecutive day.

The Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 72.16 points only to stand at 4349.22 at the close on the second trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 153784 with volume of transactions at Tk 5967.11 million.

Of the issues traded, 208 advanced, 87 declined and 19 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 462.82 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were IFADAUTOS, WMSHIPYARD, MJLBD, BEXIMCO, KPCL, SPCL, ACIFORMULA, RAKCERAMIC and AGNISYSL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8181.13by gaining over 170.25 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 176 gained, 62 declined and 12 remained unchanged.

Earlier on Sunday, investors witnessed significant gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses.
