DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Tuesday.

The Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, DSEX, rose over 51.85 points to stand at 4459.28 at the close on the third trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 180084 with transaction at Tk 8087.51 million. Of the issues traded, 210 advanced, 68 declined and 32 remained unchanged.

UPGDCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 384.89 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were KPCL, BSCCL, RAKCERAMIC, BARKAPOWER, BDTHAI, MJLBD, SAIFPOWER, UNIQUEHRL and UNITEDAIR.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8404.10 by gaining over 99.71 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 165 gained, 56 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
