Stocks end higher Monday

DHAKA: Country's stock market marked fall again in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), rose over 36.67 points only to stand at 4623.63 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 182751 with volume of transactions at Tk 10023.39 million.


Of the issues traded, 155 advanced, 116 declined and 48 remained unchanged.

KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 1,027.83 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were SUMITPOWER, GP, BEXIMCO, SAIFPOWER, BARKAPOWER, SPPCL, UPGDCL, LAFSURCEML and MJLBD.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8669.39 by dropping over 15.28 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 119 gained, 91 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
