DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 26.27 points only to stand at 4617.70at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 1,40,639  with volume of transactions at Tk 6483.28 million.

Of the issues traded, 146 advanced, 117 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

SUMITPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 512.33 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BEXIMCO, KPCL, BXPHARMA, BSCCL, UNITEDAIR, UPGDCL, FARCHEM, SAIFPOWER and SAPORTL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8633.95 by gaining over 26.79 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 118 gained, 91 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
