DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) -- is underway showing gain in share-price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, rose over 8.32 points to stand at 4461.69 after the first one-hour of trade at 10:38am.

Trade deals stood at 23850 with transaction at Tk 854.41 million.

Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 104 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 57.15 million having changed hands changing hands till then followed by SUMITPOWER,  KPCL, UPGDCL, BEXIMCO and FARCHEM.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8369.07 by gaining over 35.29 points at 11:35am.

Out of the issues traded, 69 gained, 50 declined and 21 remained unchanged.
