DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses – Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – on Tuesday, the third trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of DSE, rose over 29.16 points to stand at 4506.72 at the closing of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 93689 with transaction at Tk 4105.92 million.

Of the issues traded, 190 advanced, 83 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

UNITEDAIR topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 256.72 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were FAMILYTEX, KPCL, RAKCERAMIC, GP, SQURPHARMA, SUMITPOWER, BEXIMCO, HEIDELBCEM, and ACIFORMULA.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8423.97 by gaining over 43.77 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 131 gained, 72 declined and 37 remained unchanged.
