DHAKA: Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Sunday.

DSEX, the key index of DSE, shed over 8.38 points only to stand at 4511.46 at the close on the first trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 90787 with volume of transactions at Tk 3082.89 million.

Of the issues traded, 135 advanced, 134 declined and 49 remained unchanged.

KPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 175.07 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were RAKCERAMIC, FARCHEM, UNITEDAIR, SAPORTL, SAIFPOWER, TOSRIFA, AFCAGRO, FAMILYTEX and BEXIMCO.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 8455.79 by dropping over 2.83 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 96 gained, 101 declined and 31 remained unchanged.
