DHAKA: Humayun Kabir, director general of Currency Management Department of Bangladesh Bank (BB), has been promoted to executive director (ED) of the central bank of the country recently.

A statement on Monday said Kabir was recently promoted to the position.

Humayun Kabir joined at Bangladesh Bank in 1984.

In his over 30-year service life, he worked in human resource department, banking rule and regulation policy department, foreign currency policy department, foreign currency investment department, Bangladesh Bank Training Academy and Bangladesh Bank Inspection Department.

Besides, he was appointed as managing director of Security Printing Corporation Bangladesh at Taksal in Gazipur.
