RAJSHAHI: US-Bangla Airlines, a private airliner in Bangladesh, started its operation in Dhaka-Rajshahi route on Saturday.

After the national carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines, US-Bangla started the flight operation in this route.

An aircraft of US-Bangla, carrying 78 passengers, took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 3:10pm for Rajshahi and returned at 4:25pm carrying 26 passengers.

US-Bangla Rajshahi Zone station in-charge Badal Kumar Roy told banglanews that this private airliner will operate their flights in this route three days in a week.

Sheikh Sadi Shishir, officer of US-Bangla Airline’s media and communication wing, told banglanews that the flights will be operated on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.

However, Biman Bangladesh Airlines operates their flights on Friday, Sunday and Tuesday in Dhaka-Rajshahi route. After eight years, the national carrier resumed its operation on April 7.
