DHAKA: Bangladesh government is going to sign a treaty with Canada to increase air communication between the two countries.

Bangladesh cabinet on Monday approved the draft of the agreement at the cabinet meeting at secretariat in city on Monday with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in the chair.

Cabinet secretary Mohammad Mosharraf Hossain Bhuiyan informed the media after the meeting.

He said after signing the treaty both the countries will be allowed to nominate organizations in carrying passengers and cargos between the two counties.

According to the treaty, the nominated organizations will be allowed to operate three passengers and three cargos flights between the two countries every week.

The flight operating company will also be allowed to take passengers and cargos from other airports with 30 percents of the total amount.

However, Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh and Civil Aviation Department of Canada Transport Authority will sign the agreement on behalf of their respective sides.
