DHAKA:  The 7th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture competition has begun through a press conference at Gulshan Club in city on Monday.

Berger Paint Bangladesh Limited (BPBL) and Institute of Architects (IAB) jointly arranged the conference where BPBL senior general manager (manager and sales) Mohsin Habib Chowdhury and general manager (marketing) AKM Sadeque Newaz spoke.

The speakers said Berger has been awarding the architects for their excellent infrastructure designs since 2003. In the bi-annual competition, they give the award in five categories.

The categories included Single Family Residence, Multi Family Residence, Commercial or Mercantile and Industrial.

Moreover, they also give Young Architects Award and Lifetime Achievement Award.
