DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed upward trend in early hours of trading on Thursday, the last trading day of the week.

DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, gained by 15.89 points or 0.32 per cent to 4837.51 after the first two hour of trade at 12:22pm.

Trade deals stood at 61491 with volume of transactions at Tk 2893.45 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 134 advanced, 117 declined and 52 remained unchanged.

ISLAMIBANK was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 298.33 million changing hands till then followed by FAMILYTEX, RSRMSTEEL, UPGDCL, BSRMLTD and BENGALWTL.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed gain trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 21.24 points to 9039.28, also at 12:22am.

Of the issues traded till then, 102 gained, 77 declined and 35 remained unchanged.
