DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 7.70 points to stand at 4816.97 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 128836 with transaction at Tk 5501.95 million. Of the issues traded, 155 advanced, 116 declined and 48 remained unchanged.



SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 244.62 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were APEXTANRY, UPGDCL, ISLAMIBANK, RSRMSTEEL, FARCHEM, FAMILYTEX, CNATEX, CENTRALPHL and LAFSURCEML.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8991.07 by gaining over 27.55 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 121 gained, 98 declined and 34 remained unchanged.
