DHAKA: A two-day ‘Bangladesh Denim Expo’, to draw the attention of international denim producers and purchasers, will begin in city on November 11.

As many as 50 companies from the USA, the UK, Canada, Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Mexico, Spain, Turkey, Hong Kong, Brazil, Australia, Russia and host Bangladesh will participate in the exposition to be held at Bashundhara Convention City.

Besides, around 4,000 buyers and visitors from 1,200 organizations of 60 countries are expected to participate in this extravaganza.

Bangladesh Denim Expo chief executive officer Mostafiz Uddin, in a press release, said the aim of the fair is to showcase Bangladeshi denim brands to the global market and to make Bangladesh a ‘one-stop sourcing platform’ for denim.

The non-profit initiative would create a platform for Bangladeshi denim makers, and help them yield greater brand value in the global market, he said.
