DHAKA:  Investors witnessed minor fall in benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

DSEX, the broad index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, shed over 8.44 points only to stand at 4831.71 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 111683 with volume of transactions at Tk 4677.33 million.

Of the issues traded, 108 advanced, 171 declined and 38 remained unchanged.



SPCL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 257.78 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were LAFSURCEML, FARCHEM, CITYBANK, SQURPHARMA, BBS, BARKAPOWER, ISLAMIBANK, APEXTANRY and UPGDCL.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing down to 9021.60 by dropping over 5.84 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 77 gained, 129 declined and 43 remained unchanged.
