DHAKA: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina asked the visiting UK international development minister Desmond Swayne to increase the prices of Bangladesh readymade garments.

The PM made this call while Swayne met her at PMO in city on Tuesday afternoon.

PM press secretary Ihsanul Karim briefed the media after the meeting.

Upholding several initiatives of her government for the development of RMG sector, the PM said that if the sale money increases, it will help raise the amount of workers’ salaries.

According to the secretary, the visiting minister praised Bangladesh’s achievement in developing the opportunities for women and reaching Millennium Development Goal (MDG).

PM international affairs adviser Gowher Rizvi and other officials concerned were present during the meeting.
