DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses--Dhaka Stock Exchange and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- on Thursday.

DSEX, the key index of DSE, rose over 7.16 points to stand at 4812.82 at the close on the last trading day of the week.

Trade deals stood at 97048 with transaction at Tk 4215.87 million. Of the issues traded, 160 advanced, 105 declined and 57 remained unchanged.

SQURPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 295.05 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were ISLAMIBANK, TITASGAS, SPCL, LAFSURCEML, KBPPWBIL, GP, UCBL, UPGDCL and FARCHEM.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8970.61 by gaining over 8.74 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 103 gained, 99 declined and 41 remained unchanged.
