FROM JATIYA SANGSAD: State minister for finance MA Mannan informed the Parliament that the gross external debt for each Bangladeshi stands at USD 169 or Tk 13, 159.

He made the disclosure while answering a question of MP Nurjahan Begum at the 7th session of 10th Parliament on Thursday afternoon.

According to the state minister, the total public sector foreign loan in past fiscal year was 25,908 USD or Tk 201,590-crore.

On revenue collection, he said that they had a target of revenue collection was Tk 135,028-crore while Tk 136,819-crore was collected.
