BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Benapole Land Port will remain closed for three-day on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha to be celebrated on September 25.

The holiday will begin on September 24.

Export and import activities through India’s Petrapole Land Port will be shut on the days.

But the activities of embarkation through the ports will remain normal.

Confirming the matter to banglanews Beanpole Land Port deputy director (Traffic) Abdul Jalil said that all sorts of goods export and import will remain closed from September 24 to September 26 through the port on the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha.

The port activities will resume on September 27, he added.

According to the port official, the port authorities will remain prepared to unload any emergency goods.

Additional security measures will be taken to avert any untoward situation during the holiday, he further said.

However, immigration office will be open to keep embarkation of passengers smooth, said Benapole Check-post Immigration officer-in-charge (OC) Tariqul Islam.
