DSE, CSE down at opening

DHAKA: Share price indices at the country’s both bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) -- slipped in early hours of trading on Wednesday.
   
DSEX, the prime index of the DSE, shed over 8.11 points or 0.16 per cent to 4845.05 after the first half-hour of trade at 11:10am.

Trade deals stood at 16508 with volume of transactions at Tk 802.73 million.

Of the issues traded till then, 95 advanced, 102 declined and 61 remained unchanged.

GP was the most traded stocks with shares worth Tk 96.42 million changing hands till then followed by SAIFPOWER, FARCHEM, APOLOISPAT, SQURPHARMA and BSRMSTEEL.

The port city bourse – Chittagong Stocks Exchange (CSE) – also witnessed downward trend in early hour with its Selective Category Index losing 14.49 points to 9031.84, also at 11:12am.

Of the issues traded till then, 36 gained, 65 declined and 20 remained unchanged.
