DHAKA: Country's stock market marked gain in its price indices on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 16.98 points only to stand at 4831.59 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 81211 with volume of transactions at Tk 3846.21 million.

Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 148 declined and 44 remained unchanged.



BXPHARMA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 251.72 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BRACBANK, GP, SQURPHARMA, FARCHEM, SAIFPOWER, IDLC, ISLAMIBANK, BSRMSTEEL and LAFSURCEML.

Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 9014.39 by gaining over 30.57 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 88 gained, 107 declined and 33 remained unchanged.
