DHAKA:  Share price index at the country’s twin bourses -- Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) and Chittagong Stock Exchange (CSE) – witnessed negative trend in early hours of trading on Sunday.

The DSE benchmark index, DSEX went down 60.04 points or 1.25 percent to reach 4721.32 at 11:34 am.

Of the issues traded till then, 39 gained, 198 declined and 34 remained unchanged.

LAFSURCEML topped in the turnover leaders with its shares worth Tk 77.54 crore changing hands.

The CSE key index, CSCX witnessed downward trend 112.65 points to stand at 8800.55, also at 11:36 am.

Of the issues traded till then, 27 gained, 127 declined and 13 remained unchanged.
