BENAPOLE (JESSORE): Export and import activities in Benapole land port of Bangladesh and Petrapole land port of India will remain closed for five days on the occasion of Durga Puja.

But movements of travelers will remain normal as in the previous days.

India’s 24 Pargana district’s Bangaon Transport Association president Shangkar Saha told banglanews that the export-import activities between India and Bangladesh through Petrapole and Benapole land ports will remain closed from October 20 to 24 on the occasion of Durga Puja.

The activities will resume on October 25, he added.

Benapole CnF Association office secretary Mostafizzoha Selim said Benapole port will be closed from October 22 to 24 on Durga Puja festival. Imported goods will be unloaded in next two days.

However, Benapole check-post immigration activities will remain normal, said check-post immigration sub-inspector (SI) Khairul Islam.
