DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Sunday, the first trading day of the week.

The Dhaka Stock Exchange Broad Index (DSEX) shed over 38.73 points to stand at 4525.75 at 11:30am.

Trade deals stood at 23110 with volume of transactions at Tk 781.84 million.

Of the issues traded, 42 advanced, 190 declined and 35 remained unchanged.

SAMORITA topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 49.09 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8411.29by dropping over 80.33 points at about 11:34am.

Out of the issues traded, 16 gained, 120 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
