DHAKA: Trading on the country’s two bourses is underway with downward trend of share-price indices on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange shed over 24.50 points to stand at 4471.85 at 11:31am.

Trade deals stood 21785 with volume of transactions at Tk 771.55 million.

Of the issues traded, 54 advanced, 165 declined and 33 remained unchanged.

SAIFPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 77.92 million having changed hands.

Following the suit, the Chittagong Stock Exchange Selective Categories Index (CSCX) climbed down to 8311.04 by dropping over 36.20 points at about 11:26am.

Out of the issues traded, 26 gained, 92 declined and 14 remained unchanged.
