DHAKA: Investors witnessed gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Wednesday, the fourth trading day of the week.
DSEX, the key index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 0.32 points to stand at 4496.68 at the close of day’s trading.
Trade deals stood at 91642 with transaction at Tk 3471.68 million. Of the issues traded, 142 advanced, 137 declined and 29 remained unchanged.
SAIFPOWER topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 238.52 million having changed hands.
The other turnover leaders were TITASGAS, IFADAUTOS, BXPHARMA, QSMDRYCELL, UPGDCL, UNITEDAIR, KDSALTD, IPDC and BEXIMCO.
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8350.15 by gaining over 2.90 points.
Out of the issues traded, 90 gained, 102 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
