DHAKA: Investors witnessed slight gain in the benchmark indices of the country’s bourses on Monday, the second trading day of the week.

DSEX, the Broad Index of Dhaka Stock Exchange, rose over 0.23 points to stand at 4580.99 at the close of day’s trading.

Trade deals stood at 107052 with transaction at Tk 4555.55 million. Of the issues traded, 126 advanced, 157 declined and 36 remained unchanged.

BSRMSTEEL topped the turnover list with shares worth Tk 218.12 million having changed hands.

The other turnover leaders were BXPHARMA, IFADAUTOS, SQURPHARMA, KDSALTD, MALEKSPIN, SUMITPOWER, QSMDRYCELL, SAIFPOWER and LAFSURCEML.
 
Chittagong stocks also followed the suit, with the CSE Selective Categories Index climbing up to 8522.88 by gaining over 16.15 points.
 
Out of the issues traded, 81 gained, 122 declined and 36 remained unchanged.
