DHAKA: Automated fire sprinkler has come to Bangladesh market to extinguish and protect home and commercial establishments from fire.
Benefit of the installation of this Malaysian technology in the buildings is that, if the sensor registers more than 68 degree in the surrounding, the automated sprinkler head will burst open. A water pump will spray water over the fire and extinguish it.
AL-Amin Trade Syndicate (ATS) deputy managing director (DMD) Tawfiq Ahmed Khan made this assertion to banglanews on Tuesday (December 8) at the ongoing trade exposition at Bangabandhu International Conference Center (BICC).
BICC is hosting the venue for the 3-day “International Trade Expo for Building and Safety” that kicked off on Monday (December 7).
ATS has placed their stall in the exposition with various instruments and technological equipment of fire extinguishing.
DMD Tawfiq informed the reporter, “The natural temperature of Bangladesh normally doesn’t surpass 40 degree Celsius. The increase to a temperature of 68 degree indicates to an accidental reaction. So the chances of opening the sprinkler head without any fire accidents are quite impossible”.
“This fire sprinkler system is manufactured by SRI brand of Malaysia”, he added.
Tawfiq further said that besides the automated fire extinguishing system, they also have a fire Hayden system which is connected with water-line but it has to be operated manually.
“ATS also brought fire alarm system that can signal before any accident and even in case of small amount of smoke it will notice the occurring place automatically to the control panel.”
“If anybody chooses to install close circuit (CC) camera, it can also be used to be vigilant from far through a panel board.” He opined.
Tawfiq further said, “Hayden system is a popular fire extinguishing system worldwide. It needs three pumps and it can cover from 90 to 1,000-meter area”.
“Manufactured by the Willow Company of Germany, these pumps are imported from India and Singapore depending on the preferences of the customers,” he concluded.
